Third-party aircraft in X-Plane 11 are those aircraft developed by a third-party which are not available in the base simulator. As the simulator does not have an in-sim marketplace, all airports released for the sim by parties other than Laminar Research are considered third-party. Generally users must manually install this type of content, though some retailers and developers offer automated install software which can also keep third-party content up-to-date.
