The Pipistrel Virus is a series of civil utility airplanes manufactured by Pipistrel Aircraft.

| “ | In 1995, Slovenia-based Pipistrel introduced the first of their Sinus and Virus lines of light-sport-aircraft. In 2007 the smaller Virus (pronounced "Vee-Roos"), won the prestigious NASA Personal Air Vehicle Challenge, followed by the 2008 General Aviation Technology Challenge, and the 2011 Green Flight Challenge. As Virus' reputation spread, in 2015 the Indian Ministry of Defense chose it for as official trainer for their Air Force, Navy and National Cadet Corps.
