The Diamond DA20 (in Austria, the Diamond DV20) is a light civil utility airplane manufactured by Diamond Aircraft.

| “ | Produced by Austrian manufacturer Diamond Aircraft, the DV20 'Katana' is a low-wing, two-seat, single-engine piston plane that's been lauded by many – including the U.S. Air Force Academy – as a preeminent light training aircraft. This award-winning light aircraft, derived from the HK36 Super Dimona motorglider, conducted its maiden flight in 1991 and was displayed to the general public at the 1993 Paris Air Show. Shortly after, Diamond opened a new facility in Canada to meet rising demand in the North American market, dubbing this variant the DA20. Key to its success in the civil and military training realms, the Katana delivers outstanding performance, with impressive durability, economy and efficiency. Substantially reduced fuel and maintenance costs mean more air-time for trainees and private flyers, time made even more enjoyable by the plane's ease of handling and responsive controls.
